Body Worn Cameras under Part 14. QUESTIONS TO INDUSTRY of the RFI. ***************************************************************************** Request for Information (RFI) Amendment 001 is raised to: - Provide Industry with information on the Industry Engagement Information Session as well as the One-on-one Vendor Demonstration Sessions; - Provide Industry with information on the Rules of Engagement requirements for the Industry Engagement Information Session as well as and One-on-one Vendor Demonstration Sessions. - Notify Industry of the fairness monitor engaged for this procurement process; and - Revise various parts of the RFI. The Industry Engagement Information Session is scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2020. The session will be offered virtually in both Canadas official languages. Vendors interested in participating in the Industry Engagement Information Session are required to confirm their attendance by returning the completed Appendix B: Registration Form for Industry Engagement Information to the Contracting Authority via email: TPSGC.PACCSGPN-APBWCDEMS.PWGSC@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca by Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 5:00PM EST. Respondents to this RFI who wish to participate in the Industry Engagement Information Session and/or One-on-One Vendor Demonstration Sessions must complete, sign, and submit to the Contracting Authority the Rules of Engagement form (APPENDIX E in the RFI) prior to their participation. ***************************************************************************** National Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) and Body Worn Cameras (BWC) Project Public Works and Government Services Canada is issuing this Request for Information (RFI), on behalf of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), to engage with and solicit feedback from from Industry about a National Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) and Body Worn Cameras (BWC). The RCMP is seeking additional feedback on other evidence collection devices from vendors who currently offer these important products, systems and services. The RCMP is committed to ensuring that Canadians feel protected by, and have trust in their National Police Force. With this in mind, the RCMP is working toward the goal of rolling out more than 10,000 BWCs to be worn by its front-line police officers. The RCMP is also working toward finding an effective and secure National DEMS solution to assist with the proper collection, storage and disclosure of its digital evidence. The RCMP must be able to retrieve digital evidence from the DEMS, stored anywhere in the Country, from any RCMP detachment. The DEMS will not be used exclusively in support of BWC and must have the ability to store digital assets from multiple sources. Objectives: The objectives of this RFI are: a. To inform industry of this forthcoming requirement; b. To receive the Industry feedback on proven business and technical solutions, including lessons learned and best practices that will support Canada in satisfying the requirements for a National DEMS and BWC; c. Following this RFI, Canada may use industry feedback to advance a procurement process, with a focus on industrys ability to deliver the solution; and d. To invite industry to identify its interest in participating in the forthcoming industry engagement process. Nature of this RFI: This RFI is neither a call for tender nor a Request for Proposal (RFP). No agreement or contract will be entered into directly pursuant to this RFI. The issuance of this RFI is not to be considered in any way a commitment by Canada, nor as authority to potential respondents to undertake any work that could be charged to Canada. This RFI is not to be considered as a commitment by Canada to issue a subsequent RFP or award contract(s) for the work described herein. Opportunity for an Information Session and Vendor Demonstrations: Canada may, at its discretion, hold an information session and/or one-on-one demonstrations with Industry following this RFI. Further details, if required, will be published on BuyandSell.gc.ca at a later date.
